Following the success of the Wiesn-Wagen, which was used around the Oktoberfest in its second year, Aiways is continuing its cultural commitment and supporting the official carnival prince and princess of the city of Munich, Frederik I. and Katharina I., with a specially designed Aiways U5 SUV. This will accompany the prince and princess to over 200 events during the 2024 carnival season.
“A triple Narrhalla”: an integral part of Munich’s carnival culture
The Münchner Gesellschaft Narrhalla e.V., deeply rooted in over a hundred years of Munich carnival history, provides the official prince and princess of the state capital of Munich every year. The society is an integral part of Munich’s ball season and cultural scene with a wide range of events – from the pub carnival to the Grand Narrhalla Ball.
Frederik I. and Katharina I., the official carnival prince and princess of 2024, will experience an unusually short but intense carnival season. Both Frederik Jehle and Katharina Ibscher, both Munich natives, live this deep connection and represent the joy and cultural heritage of the city.
Further cultural partnership as a clear commitment by Aiways to Munich as a business location
This partnership with Narrhalla is a clear sign of Aiways’ commitment to Munich and its cultural heritage. “Our commitment to Munich’s society Narrhalla e.V. is an expression of our deep connection to Munich and its cultural wealth. We are proud to be part of this lively tradition and to support the official carnival prince and princess with an Aiways U5 SUV,” explains Dr. Alexander Klose, Executive Vice President Operations at Aiways.
With this cooperation, Aiways shows that the company is not only taking a leading role in building an innovative brand for sustainable mobility in Germany and Europe, but is also actively involved in the local community. Aiways’ support of the Munich Carnival is more than just a sponsorship. It is a sign of recognition and appreciation for the local traditions and underlines Aiways’ efforts to contribute to the cultural diversity and community and social life in Munich.
Munich remains headquarters for Overseas Operations
Dr. Alexander Klose emphasizes: “After the challenges of the past, we have already been able to set the course for this year in terms of further brand development, ensuring service quality and the launch of further pioneering products for the Aiways brand. Munich is therefore much more than just the European headquarters, but the hub for all of the brand’s activities outside China. Close ties to the city are therefore important to us in many respects.”
